Analysis on the impact of infrastructure works on public transportation operators

During the last few years, Israel central region suffers from many infrastructure works, among other things due to the construction of the light rail network and the preferred routes.

These works cause disruptions on the area’s roads, a decrease in commercial speed, high variation between travel times, and more.

As part of the project, we performed a transportation analysis of the impact of the infrastructure works on the public transportation operator, analyzed the changes and variations in the commercial speed and established the connection between the multitude of works and the operational disruptions in the service lines. In addition, we analyzed the impact of future infrastructure works on the area’s roads and the implications for the operator.

The project was carried out in cooperation with the Dan Public Transport
