The Israeli government has set goals for the expansion of the use of electric buses in the public transportation service in accordance with the accepted trends in the world.
In order to reach the goal set by the government for the electrification of public transportation, it is necessary to examine a wide variety of solutions, and one of them is dynamic electric charging.
In these projects, we were asked to examine the infrastructural and technical requirements for conducting a dynamic electric charging in the city of Jerusalem.
The purpose of the project was to determine recommended roads for electrification in Jerusalem by analyzing the data of the existing and future public transportation network, considaring the characteristics of the road, the volumes of buses and the different speeds as well as the existing and planned parking lots and terminals intended for electrification.
The project is carried out in cooperation with the Jerusalem Transportation Master Plan team
