Examining methodology for benefits of transportation infrastructure facilities

Ayalon Highways has been promoting the master plan for public transportation facilities. As part of the project, we were asked to build a systematic methodology for analyzing the benefits of establishing infrastructure facilities (overnight parking and passenger terminals). During the project, we collected data from various information systems, built operating scenarios using an optimization system and simulated the operators plan of the area. Using these scenarios, we examined the effect of adding an infrastructure facility in each area, built efficiency indicators and analyzed the degree of impact of each infrastructure facility. The developed methodology allows to examine the effect of each infrastructure facility and assess the feasibility of the investment in its development.
